Thinsulate®

Thinsulate is currently considered the most technologically advanced and modern lining material. This development allows for the creation of specialized protective footwear and clothing with improved thermal insulation.

Material features

Thinsulate technology was developed by the American company 3M over 40 years ago. It involves a special treatment of a synthetic material based on polyester microfibers. Thinsulate's improved thermal insulation is achieved by a large volume of air, which is retained by coating the microfibers with a thin layer of silicone and shaping them into a spiral.

Thanks to this development, the material has increased elasticity and efficiency. Thinsulate is used to make insulation in special safety footwear, military, sports footwear, and everyday footwear. Today, this material's performance surpasses that of its closest analogue, synthetic padding.

Advantages

Workwear and footwear made from Thinsulate are among the most popular. These products are reliable and practical. The Thinsulate lining is non-toxic, despite being synthetic, and is hypoallergenic. The material's eco-friendliness has been proven and recognized by international standards.

Winter safety footwear with Thinsulate insulation retains heat 50% more effectively than similar footwear made from other materials. This footwear reliably protects feet from the cold, even during prolonged exposure to extremely low temperatures.

Shoes with Thinsulate linings are prized for their durability and low hygroscopicity. This insulation absorbs less moisture than natural fur, keeping feet dry and warm. The material retains its shape perfectly and does not shrink or deform.

Care tips

Specialized safety footwear requires specific care methods and products depending on the upper and sole materials. If the product is machine washable, it is important to follow the recommended temperature range.

To clean workwear with Thinsulate insulation, use a liquid detergent. This will help prevent streaks from appearing on the surface. It is recommended to wash workwear made from this material at temperatures below 40°C.
