Storage of workwear

Storage of workwear

Workwear is an essential part of the equipment of construction workers, industrial workers, agricultural workers, service providers, and housing and communal services employees. Materials for workwear production are selected in accordance with GOST standards. They ensure worker hygiene, comfort, and safety.

Workwear and footwear are made from durable, hygienic, and high-quality materials. After their specified wear period, they are replaced with new ones. To ensure long-lasting wear, adequate protection, and comfort, workwear must be properly stored and cared for.

Rules for the care of workwear

Workwear is selected according to the requirements of a specific application, whether it's construction, cleaning, agricultural work, etc. Each worker receives a suit and shoes that fit exactly to their size. This ensures safety and comfort during work, and also extends the life of the product.

The basic rules for caring for workwear are as follows:

1. Work clothes and shoes must be stored properly.

2. After use, the product should be inspected for tears, severe abrasions and other damage.

3. Workwear must be regularly cleaned and washed in accordance with the care instructions for these types of materials.

Each industry has adopted a number of regulations defining the care of different types of workwear. Recommendations for washing, drying, ironing, and storage are also included on product labels. Particular attention should be paid to information on the use of chemical cleaning agents. Properly selected cleaning agents will extend the life of the product and preserve the protective properties of the fabric.

Storage of workwear

According to general regulatory requirements, special clothing must be stored:

In warehouses, workwear is sorted by type, size, and worker height. Each type is placed on a separate shelf, labeled with a detailed description of the item and GOST care guidelines.

Special requirements for storage of certain types of products:

1. Clothes made of cotton fabric should be stored at an air humidity of no more than 75% (otherwise they will become damp) and a temperature of +15 to +25°C.

2. Winter work clothes with fur elements are turned inside out and lined with bags containing insecticides against moths.

3. Shoes made of genuine leather are stored in dry (humidity up to 65%) and cool (from +7 to +16oC) rooms, on wooden racks in pairs.

4. Rubberized workwear should be stored away from heating devices at a temperature of +5°C and humidity of up to 70%. The room should be darkened!

Compliance with these rules ensures the preservation of the protective properties of the fabric and the integrity of the product, which will subsequently ensure comfort and safety for the user during work.

Washing workwear

Washing is essential. It ensures hygiene and helps preserve the protective properties of fabrics. Workwear is made using materials that do not fade or transfer colors when washed. Some items with enhanced protective properties are treated with a special impregnation. This impregnation is safe for humans and can withstand repeated washing.

Before washing workwear, please read the care label sewn onto the inside of the garment. It is also recommended to follow a few care instructions.

Following these care instructions, as well as the manufacturer's recommendations, will extend the life of your workwear and help maintain its protective properties and presentable appearance.
